TOEFL Express

The TOEFL Express course is a condensed, advanced-level conversation class designed to give students an opportunity to practice speaking and listening skills needed for the TOEFL iBT test. The class will focus on skill-building, self-evaluation, pair practice, test-taking tips and strategies. The language lab will be utilized and students will be required to purchase a digital book for the class. While this course may review general English skills including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and pronunciation, it is not designed to improve a student’s general English skills. The purpose of this course is to use existing English skills to improve TOEFL scores for the speaking and listening sections of the test.

Prerequisite: Students must have completed Level 7 or possess equivalent knowledge.

Permission of the English Department Chair is required to be admitted to this program.

This TOEFL preparation class is a condensed, shortened version of the full TOEFL preparation classes at UNAM and will consist of a total of 21 hours of instruction.
