Semester

Seven levels of Spanish are offered in morning or evening classes. Each level consists of 75 hours of instruction over 14 weeks (10 weeks during the summer). Courses include instruction in grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Classes are taught in Spanish from day one. Tutoring sessions are available. These courses are equivalent to 5 semester credit hours.

Spanish Certificate

Students completing Spanish level 7 with a minimum grade of B (85) will receive a certificate issued by the UNAM Main Campus.

Advanced Conversation

These courses focus on the development of the student’s oral ability. Each course consists of 15 hours of instruction. No credits are given.

Prerequisite: have taken Spanish V or have equivalent knowledge. A required written and oral placement test are needed to determine your level. Not intended for lower levels.
