This test assesses whether a student’s English language skills are high enough to function successfully in an advanced academic environment. To pass the TOEFL and meet the high expectations of an English-speaking university, students must demonstrate advanced proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

This program consists of two parts, with a total of eight courses. Four courses are offered every seven weeks (three weeks during the Summer II session). Each session provides hands-on practice focused on specific aspects of the TOEFL, in addition to classes designed to improve other essential skills for the test and university success. We highly recommend that students attend both parts to gain the most benefit from this program.

PART A – Courses

TOEFL Listening & Speaking

Academic Reading

Academic Writing

Advanced Grammar (Optional)

PART B – Courses

TOEFL Reading & Writing

Academic Speaking

Academic Listening & Note-taking

Advanced Grammar (Optional)

Note: Students with F-1 visas must register for all four courses to maintain legal status in the U.S. Non-visa holders may register for one or more classes.

On-Site

SESSIONS REGISTRATION

CALENDAR

SPRING I – January 6 & 7

January 12 – February 27

SPRING II – March 3 & 4

March 9 – May 1

SUMMER I – May 5 & 6

May 11 – June 26

FALL I – August 11 & 12

August 17 – October 2

FALL II – October 6 & 7

October 12 – December 2

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM & Tuesday & Thursday: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM

All Week

Cost per Session

$1,350.00 USD

106 Hours of Instruction

7 weeks per session

Note: The Academic Preparation Program is not offered during the Summer II Session.

More Information

Contact Email: laurac@unam.mx

Phone: (210) 222 8626

Important Links

Recommended Books

The cost of the books is not included in the total price of the program.

Important Notes

POLICIES, TERMS, CONDITIONS AND REFUNDS

Program Length

Register Here

Academic Preparation Program 2025 Program Overview This program is specifically designed for ESL (English as a Second Language) learners interested in pursuing a college degree program in the U.S. One important requirement for international students at most universities is an adequate score on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).
